Swapping Guidelines

• We’re not about disposing of clothes you’ve worn out. We’re about giving new life to clothes you’ve fallen out of love with or don’t fit anymore.
• Think about what you would want to receive and swap in similar items.
• Only send in what you would be proud to give a friend.

Each swapped item is personally looked over by a member of the Swapology team to ensure it fits the criteria below. If an item doesn’t fit the criteria but is acceptable for other purposes it will be donated elsewhere. Rejected items will not be returned to Swapologists. Repeat attempts to swap unacceptable items may result in service discontinuation.

Any women’s clothing brand including maternity. All children’s clothes that meet the quality guidelines.

Any size as long as it’s not be altered significantly. If an item is hand sewn please detail size and pattern make (if possible). If we have to size the item less points will be issued.

To ensure a quality, and healthy, swapping experience for Swapologists, we will not accept: 

• Personalised or bespoke printed/branded clothing
• Promotional items e.g. corporate merchandise and memorabilia, uniforms (including local sports team uniforms), souvenirs, and institutional branded items.
• Activewear
• Lingerie and undergarments, including bras and slips
• Shapewear
• Swimwear
• Sleepwear e.g. nighties, pajamas, robes etc
• Fur Coats (*Faux Fur is accepted)
• Jewellery and hair accessories
• Costumes
• Bridal wear
• Handbags, purses/totes/wristlets/clutches/wallets
• Hats, beanies, scarves, gloves, sunglasses, glasses
• Shoes
• Damaged and defected items e.g. items that are stained, torn, pilled, old, have broken zips/buttons
• Dirty items e.g. that have make up stains, pet fur or sweat marks
• Items with odour/body fluids
• Hand sewn or tailored items be accessed on an individual basis, if not accepted a return option (your cost) will be offered.
